Coach Lee, I received your 6 tapes a couple of weeks ago and I have to say that they are awesome!! I've been in Tae Kwon Do for over ten years and this is the information that I have been searching for.
I've been training my students differently since the tapes have arrived… also, thanks for giving the TKD world some information that is actually useful in Tae Kwon Do competition.

Subject: Great Video's Mr. Lee

I just received your video's and viewed two of them last night. I just wanted to tell you that I feel the video's you produced are excellent for all levels. Good explanation and demonstration that anyone can follow.

I'm just getting back into Taekwondo after 16 years of bike racing. I had the honor to train with Mr. Warwick, Mr. Capner, and Mr. Maranti back in 1987-88 when I was a Red Belt in Montana. The tapes bring back the memories of all the drills and technique we practiced. I feel they will really help me with my future goals, and help my girlfriend who is just starting to spar.

Thanks again!

I HAVE STARTED AND QUIT TAE KWON DO 7 TIMES ANGRY AND CONFUSED FROM NEVER LEARNING THE "TRUTH." I'VE WON 36 FIRST PLACE TROPHIES, BUT I KNEW MY KICKS WERE NOT CORRECT AND MY TECHNIQUES TO SCORE HAD NO BASIS.
I'M 30 YEARS OLD NOW AND WITH THIS SELECTION OF TAPES I KNOW MY COMPETITIONS WILL BE STRONG IN THE FUTURE.

THAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANKS FOR COMING OUT WITH THE "TRUTH"

I have gone over the tape many times and feel that it is of high quality and that it is a tape that everyone should purchase. It affords information to competitors of all levels of achievement. It is professional, clean and uncluttered, exciting with out too much flash. Straight to the point.

I watched Coach Lee's tape with some of my instructor's and we all agreed, IT'S GOOD!!! This tape is a great starting place for beginners. We have already begun playing it in our class. To have my students see that what I have been teaching is what Coach Lee is teaching was great. The value of the tape was in reinforcing my instruction and showing a technique or combination over and over again (something you can't always do in class). Having demonstrations of hogu drills by team members also allowed my students and instructors to see the correct way to drill without getting hurt. We are looking forward to the rest of the series. Congratulations on a job well done.

I just finished (finally) watching the tape by Coach Lee. I thought that this was a great tape for beginners and even those looking to improve their techniques. My main purpose of getting it was to look at some of the training tips to help my competition performance. I was surprised how educational it was. Though I knew most of the techniqes, some of the tips in their help me improve them. I would recommend any who is just starting TKD and even those who wish to improve their skills to purchase this. Even if the improvement to your techniques is minimal, it is well worth the investment. I am looking forward to the new tapes.

When I found out about your video series, I knew I had to get the first tape. I've been waiting for
info like this for years. As long as I've been practicing taekwondo. I love it so much I've been wanting to go to nationals and make the team! I can't thank you enough, I really believe these tapes will help me and everybody that dream of winning the gold.

Subject: tkd-net: Just got Coach Lee's 'Kicking, Steps, Stances and Check Motions' Video

Over the weekend I watched Coach Lee's 'Kicking, Steps, Stances and Check Motions' video. It was excellent. The presentation was clear and to the point. Coach Lee's kicking was amazing, crisp and accurate. He (and several other top fighters) not only demonstrated the kicks and the footwork, but how they all fit together, how to defend against one kick using another, how to fight against a fighter defending against your kicks, etc.

The highest criterion for me is how much a tape makes you want to get up and 'do it' yourself, and this tape was great in that regard. Highly recommended.

Another satisfied customer here :) Have you guys considered adding some of Coach Lee's "vintage fights" at the end of upcoming tapes? I certainly would love to see that....

I just watched the new Han Won Lee videotape and I have to say that I enjoyed it. It has lots of good solid basic information on it and is set up nicely. Things discussed is the basic stance (which is slightly different from mine; I guess I'm "old style") which is a 50/50 weight distribution, the four basic steps, checks (or fake motions), plus all of the basic competition kicks. The competition kicks are demonstrated by Coach Lee himself, and are then applied by either Mandy Meloon, Ilya Sergeyko, or Barb Kunkel. In fact, there is a scene where Mandy kicks Ilya so hard that he makes that face all practitioners who have done hogu drills make. There is paddle and hogu drill demonstrations, and also footage of the application of those kicks at the recent Olympic Weight Division Tournament in September 1998, plus some other footage of 95 World Championships. I think that everyone on this list should order the video, because we seem to discuss competition so much. I think the tape is especially useful for those who have no WTF competition experience or background, because it does go over the basics in a solid easy to understand fashion. I enjoyed the tape, learned a thing or two, and have a different perspective on some other things.

I also just got thru watching the video. As stated by Glen it (is) worth every penny and more. The best tape I ever seen explaining the details of basic kicking.

Being a non-WTF'er, I like seeing the different techniques, and have been trying to incorporate them in my (ATA) sparring, given my meager skills. From what I could see of the Han Lee tape, I liked this over the Sang Kim "100 Techniques of Olympic [TKD]" series, since it was nice and basic for me...

We finally sat down and watched (it has been hectic with the holidays and all) the first tape in the series from Coach Lee, Basic Kicks and Steps, and it was great. My daughter as most of you know is a second poom ,but there is still information on this tape that we both feel will be helpful. We are patiently awaiting the availbility of the others.

I just completed my first viewing of Coach Lee's tape. As an ATA guy, it was good to see some Olympic tournament techniques explained and shown so clearly. I had even tried some of the checks moves in my last sparring class. BTW, this tape was a replacement for the defective one that I initially
received. I mentioned this on tkdnet a few weeks ago, and someone from Lee Productions got right in touch with me, and we cross-shipped tapes. Great service, considering I never initially contacted Lee Prods. directly...! Thanks.

A few weeks ago I received tape two of the series and it's a great instructional tape. It's amazing that in just two weeks I see quite a noticeable difference in my speed, power, and overall conditioning. I bought myself a ladder and I practice all of the drills as often as I can. Thank you very much Coach Lee for putting a tape out for the rest of us.

Very Appreciative

Coach Lee's tape on conditioning is excellent. This tape shows what a modern Takwondoin and other MA's needs to improve skills. Highly recommend every one on this list to get this tape. This tape is for everyone who wants to learn fun drills to improve their conditioning. Coach Lee did an excellent job showing and explaining complex drills and conditioning exercises.

I watched Coach Lee's second video the other night and I have to say that Han Won Lee is pretty much revealing all of the training methods used at OTC. This tape #2 basically runs through the morning training sessions, which focus on conditioning exercises. There is a clear explanation of his running program, as well as some of the plyometric exercises that are used at OTC. There is a sequence where a rope ladder is placed on the mat and footwork and agility drills are done. My only problem is trying to find someplace that sells this ladder so I can incorporate into my routine. Overall it was an excellent tape which clearly showed what to do and how to do it.

TAPE FIVE

From: Ahnmichael@aol.com
Subject: tkd-net: Coach Lee's New Video

Coach Lee's new video "Hogu Drills" finally came out. The video covers all the hogu drills used at Olympic Training Center (OTC). From basic, advance, transitional, countering the counter, and 30 second drills using speed drill, holders choice, terminator drills, 2 station drills, and terminator drills with random sparring.

Coach Lee's shows and explains each drill in an easy to understand format using Coaching Cues and OTC athletes Richard An, Michael Tang, Brain Stephen, and Barb Knukel. It's a definite must have for instructors and students looking for new and exciting hogu training drills.

Subject: Re: tkd-net: Coach Han Won Lee's hogu drills video

I also received my copy of Coach Han Won Lee's hogu drills video, and I have to say that I really liked it. It was clear, to the point, and easy to follow. If you went to nationals and all you did was the techniques shown in the hogu drills video, there would be a very good chance you could medal, assuming that you trained hard and were prepared.

I would highly recommend the video for anyone interested in learning the Modern Competition Training Methods.

TAPE SIX

From: John

I watched Coach Han Lee's new Mental Preparation, Ring and Time Management, Fighting Strategies, and Coaching video. Coach Lee has taken a complex subject and made it easy to understand. I highly recommend the video. A must have for all competitors, coaches, and parents of competitors. Only video I know that clearly explains the fighting strategies that every competitor and coach must know. Now the real secret is out:-)
